A Quick One While She's Away

Well, happy new year all the way from Paris. It is beautiful here and I am having a wonderful time visiting my brother and friends. The celebration for welcoming 2006 could not have been better...foi gras! Champagne! More foi gras! More Champagne! And lots of dancing to ABBA. Obligatory.

Well, today we go to the top of Eiffel, Arc de Triomphe, and Montmartre. Its been rainy and cold, but today seems to be lovely so I hope to take many photos. For the moment I will have more cafè au lait, and yeah. I'm still couch jumping, but now with a French accent.

As an ardent closet Francophile I find myself torn between having the most belated joy for you and your good fortune of kickin’ it in Paris, the city of lights, on the new year and the dark immature resentful it-should-be-me-I’m-such-a-loser selfish type thoughts that plague my brain on a daily basis, like the wanker that I can sometimes be at times, and amazingly without even really trying, as they just sorta come natural – that’s both sets of thoughts mind you, like a schizophrenic DJ mix goin’ on inside my brain, as we speak, er sort a that is…

Glad to hear you’re havin’ fun though.
